Founded in Bonn by Nikolaus Simrock in 1793, the Simrock company moved to Berlin in 1870 while in the charge of Nikolaus's grandson, Fritz. Over the centuries it went through numerous mergers and separations before being acquired by Boosey & Hawkes in 2002. Today, Simrock is known particularly for its publications of music by Brahms, Dvořák, Bruch, Suk, Tchaikovsky, and others.

Simrock - Featured Products

Variations On A Rococo Theme was composed by Tchaikovsky in December 1876. The piece was dedicated to the German cellist Wilhelm Fitzenhagen, who was a teacher at the Academy of Music in Moscow. This edition of the work has modernised fingerings and bowings based on the practice and concert experience of the editor David Geringas. Written in both German and English.

The solo parts for Max Bruch's Concerto for two pianos and orchestra, Op. 88a. Max Bruch wrote his concerto for two pianos in 1912 for an American piano duo, but the original version was not published until 1976. This piano reduction by Wilhelm Brückner-Rüggeberg contains separate solo parts for both piano parts.

Vocal Score for Antonín Dvořák's Te Deum, Op. 103. For Soprano, Bass, Mixed Choir and Orchestra. Composed in 1892, shortly before Dvořák's departure for America.

As a lesson and lecture piece, Bertold Hummel's Sonatine op. 35, created in 1969, accompanied many young musicians on their way. Sold a thousand times all over the world, it is one of the composer's best-known works and was included in the repertoire list for the 'Jugend musiziert' competition by the German Music Council.

Full Score edition of Puccini's La Bohème. The premiere of La Bohème took place at the Teatro Regio in Turin on 1st February 1896. Giuseppe Giacosa and Luigi Illica based their libretto for this opera on Scènes de la vie de Bohème by Henry Murger. It took Puccini only a few months to complete a score brimming with wonderful melodic invention and orchestrational genius.
