From the initial outbursts of “Think” with full orchestra and chorus in tow, Aretha Franklin’s outsized voice becomes the perfect match. The versionsof the compositions performed here are like a greatest hits collection, but dressed up quite dramatically. Franklin’s Atlantic originals are played in celebratory fashion, with hits like “Respect,” “I Say A Little Prayer” and “Son Of A Preacher Man” also getting the full orchestra treatment, and then some.
