Stilgoe introduces two original songs to the festive collection- sure to become seasonal favourites for years to come. Up-tempo festive party tune 'The Night Before' showcases his versatile vocals and outstanding collection of musicians, whilst the powerful festive ballad 'December Lights' conjures the magical Christmas spirit. On the subject of Christmas, Stilgoe says "I've wanted to make a Christmas album ever since I became a musician, and probably even before that. Christmas was always my favourite time of year, and though my beliefs have changed over the years and I don't consider getting a Spiderman costume the pinnacle of my life anymore, I still look forward to it with the same excitement as I did when I was 5 years old. I love how people change at Christmas time- it's a time for thinking about others and for generosity of time and energy, and this is reflected in the rising of spirits and the desire to share time with friends and family.
