This week's picks for the latest jazz releases include a retrospective of Steve Tibbetts' 40-year stint with ECM Records, new music from Trombone Shorty on Blue Note, and South African drummer Tumi Mogorosi's Group Theory: Black Music.

This new ECM double-album, Hellbound Train, consists of selected tracks from guitarist Steve Tibbetts' four-decade archive on the label. Divided into electric and acoustic segments, Hellbound Train encompasses influences from minimalism, ambient and alternative rock.
