This new Ella Fitzgerald album features a previously unreleased concert from 1958, with a 15-song performance of songs by Irving Berlin; it was the only time she performed these full orchestral arrangements with conductor Paul Weston, who also worked with Ella on the studio recording of these same songs which would win her a Grammy Award for Album of the Year.

Pakistani-born, Brooklyn-based vocalist and composer Arooj Aftab's Grammy Award-winning third album Vulture Prince - which draws from jazz, Hindustani classical, and folk music as a vessel for exploring personal grief - enjoys a deluxe re-release from Verve Records this week.
