Don Cherry

The latest additions to our growing jazz vinyl catalogue include greatest-hits compilations from Glenn Miller and Ella Fitzgerald, reissues of Don Cherry and Johnny Hodges, and early recordings by Charles Mingus.

Glenn Miller

A variety of hits from the trombonist and bandleader's decade-long career, pressed on 180g vinyl in a limited edition gatefold, including tracks 'In the Mood', 'Moonlight Serenade', and 'Chattanooga Choo Choo'.

Available Format: Vinyl Record

Ella Fitzgerald

In the same series is also this compilation of Ella Fitzgerald favourites, featuring songs by Cole Porter, Richard Rodgers and Duke Ellington from Ella's studio recordings.

Available Format: Vinyl Record

Billie Holiday

Another compilation of hits on vinyl, this time from the iconic vocalist Billie Holiday - featuring both versions of the stirring 'Strange Fruit', as well as 'All of Me' featuring Lester Young, 'God Bless the Child' and 'Lady Sings the Blues'.

Available Format: Vinyl Record

Chick Corea Akoustic Band

Releasing last year and recorded even further back in 2018 whilst on tour in Florida, Live is a 2-hour set by the late and great pianist's trio covering a mixture of originals and standards.

Available Format: 3 Vinyl Records

This controversial Coltrane recording - made around the time he hired clarinetist Eric Dolphy into the band and began embracing more challenging music - is reissued on Verve's Acoustic Sounds series in a deluxe package including analog master tape transfers, 180g vinyl, and gatefold packaging.

Available Format: Vinyl Record

Don Cherry

Where Is Brooklyn? is an album that culminated an incredibly spirited three-album run for Don Cherry following his signing to Blue Note in 1965, featuring Pharoah Sanders on sax and piccolo, Henry Grimes on bass, and Ed Blackwell on drums.

Available Format: Vinyl Record

Cannonball Adderley & John Coltrane

Another 20th Century Masterworks release, this set by Coltrane and Cannonball features two great contemporaries together - though Coltrane's name wasn't in the original record's title - as well as featuring the same quartet that would record Miles Davis' Kind of Blue shortly after these sessions.

Available Format: Vinyl Record

Ray Charles

Another classic from 20th Century Masterworks, Genius + Soul = Jazz sees vocalist Ray Charles playing with a big band arranged by Quincy Jones and Ralph Burns, assembled from members of Count Basie's band.

Available Format: Vinyl Record

Some relatively early-career Mingus recordings are reissued here from Period Records, originally issued as two separate 10" records named Jazzical Moods back in 1955.
