Jet Guitars has begun making waves at the budget end of the market, offering features that you’d usually expect to see on much more expensive instruments.

Overall the Jet JS-300 is not an overly complicated or unfamiliar guitar. A Basswood Strat body features an SSS ceramic pickup configuration, with a single volume and tone knob plus 5-way switch. Moving to a master tone instead of a convoluted two tone Strat setup is a good uncomplicated touch.

This guitar also displays some smart decision making in its production. The slightly scultped heel joint and the Canadian Roasted neck enhance the playing experience, offering comfort and ease of playability.

This could be one of the more ideal decisions if buying for a beginner. The feel, playability and sound are outstanding for the price. It'll pair brilliantly with a valve type of amp to further enhance its vintage tones.
