Awards and reviews
October 2015
Where this light-toned, unassuming sextet delivers is in the strongest material: the agonies of both settings of When David heard (by Tomkins and Gibbons) and the obsessional fervour of Tallis's Videte miraculum.
June 2015
Full marks to the Queen's Six for unearthing some delicious and rarely heard Tudor works for men's voices and for their deft handling of the quickfire polyphony in Gibbons's 'Lift up your heads' and elsewhere – that they can really do, with top-drawer tuning and rhythmic control.
