In Flanders Fields Volume 83 - Preludes in Times Past and Present
Preludes in Verleden en Heden

Seventeen short, unfamiliar pieces, mainly from the 19th and 20th centuries, for a variety of chamber combinations. It sounds uncompromising but the playing is excellent, the results colourful.

About
All music is today's music, even if it was noted down in the past by somebody, the composer, who made specific choices in an exclusive context and with personal intentions; otherwise all music would sound the same. What remains in the end is the personal experience of the person listening to the music, and in that experience the composer does not matter. Music is greater than its maker, be it the composer, the performer or the listener. (Mathias Coppens)

'Preludes in Times Past and Present'…is extremely well played and the music is largely agreeable.
