This fine orchestral recording features the most prominent flautist in Denmark, Thomas Jensen, together with the South Jutland Symphony Orchestra. It is a magnificent recording filled with interesting repertoire from charismatic composers, played with style, class and elegance.

Jensen’s tone has a fine colour, is nicely centred, with beautiful intonation and a low register for which many a player would sacrifice their entire collection of pre-war Rudall Carte cleaning rods...[the disc] dares to be bold and exciting, which is exactly what is needed to bust the flute’s frilly image.
