About
Dublin born flautist William Dowdall combines a career as a soloist, chamber musician and teacher. He was appointed principal flute of the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra from 1979 to 2004. William Dowdall’s special interest in contemporary music led him to develop a workshop based on contemporary solo flute music by Irish composers.
Constellation by John Buckley (on this CD) was included in a CD of Irish Culture presented to President Obama on his recent visit to Ireland.
