In Norway there has always been a tradition of blending the sound of trumpet and organ and is strongly associated to festivals and celebrations, in particular, weddings. Despite a long tradition, however, it is only in more recent years that Norwegian composers have found the inspiration to compose concert music for trumpet and organ. This disc certainly demonstrates that the tradition continues to thrive.
