Dutch composer Simeon ten Holt studied piano and theory with Honegger and Milhaud at the Ecole Normale in Paris. His reputation as a major contemporary composer was firmly established in 1979 with the first performance of Canto Ostinato, his huge work for four keyboards.The performers on this CD are all specialists in this style of music and this CD is a newly remastered re-issue of the CD first released in 1988.
