EmArcy Records

EmArcy Records

EmArcy Records was founded in 1954 by the American label Mercury Records, the name being a play on the phonetic spelling of 'Mercury Record Company' ('MRC'). During the 50s and 60s, EmArcy recorded with artists like Max Roach, Clifford Brown and Sarah Vaughan, as well as Cannonball Adderley and Dinah Washington.

Nowadays, EmArcy operates as a European label under Universal Music Group.
