Coro

CORO is the award-winning record label of Harry Christophers and The Sixteen. Formed in 2001, CORO re-issued albums by The Sixteen that were, for a short time, available on Collins Classics and now releases all of the ensemble’s new recordings. The label now boasts a varied catalogue of music from the last 500 years including Renaissance masterpieces such as The Eton Choirbook and premiere recordings of 21st-century works such as James MacMillan’s Stabat mater. Founder and Conductor, Harry Christophers, is also Artistic Director of Boston’s celebrated Handel and Haydn Society and since 2010 CORO has released all of their recordings. The label also releases albums by a number of guest artists on its CORO Connections strand.
