Presto CD - DG Originals
The latest batch of Presto CDs are all taken from the Deutsche Grammophon Originals archives, with plenty of vintage performances of Romantic orchestral repertoire from the 1950s and 60s - the Berlin Philharmonic feature heavily, with the roster of conductors including Eugen Jochum, Karl Böhm, Ferenc Fricsay and Kurt Sanderling. Treasurable vocal recitals, too, from singers such as Léopold Simoneau, Irmgard Seefried and Rita Streich.
