The Takács Quartet's superb accounts of string quartets by Fanny and Felix Mendelssohn (which was released on Hyperion at the end of last month and features in our Top 100 Recordings of the Year) tops the chart for November; you can read James's full review of this feast of 'impeccable ensemble playing' here.
November releases from Sheku and Isata Kanneh-Mason, Cecilia Bartoli, and the Choir of King's College Cambridge also appear amongst the best-sellers, whilst Víkingur Ólafsson's Mozart & Contemporaries maintains a foothold in the Top 10 for the third month running, and Bernard Haitink's 2007 set of the complete Beethoven symphonies with the London Symphony Orchestra continues to attract attention in the wake of the great Dutch maestro's death in October.
